CST ELITE IMPACT
A Community Interest Company (CIC)
Sport Changes Lives. Every Child. Every Ability. Every Opportunity.
COMMUNITY • OPPORTUNITY • INCLUSION • BELONGING
Making a positive difference through sport, basketball, physical activity and inclusive community programmes.
WHO WE ARE
CST Elite IMPACT is a community-focused initiative being established with the aim of operating as a Community Interest Company (CIC), dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people through sport, physical activity, inclusion and personal development.
Our purpose is to create opportunities for children and young people to participate, belong, achieve and thrive, regardless of their ability, background or individual circumstances.
We believe that every child deserves the chance to experience the benefits of sport, build meaningful friendships, develop confidence and discover their potential.
Through basketball, adapted sport, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision, mentoring, school programmes and community activities, CST Elite IMPACT aims to remove barriers to participation and create positive experiences for young people who may otherwise face difficulties accessing sport.
Our work will focus on community benefit rather than purely private gain, with the aim of directing resources, partnerships and funding towards opportunities that make a meaningful difference to the people and communities we serve.
Our commitment is simple: every child, every ability, every opportunity.
OUR COMMUNITY INTEREST PURPOSE
CST Elite IMPACT aims to operate as a Community Interest Company, using sport and physical activity as tools for positive social change.
Our community interest objectives are to:
- Improve access to inclusive sport and physical activity for children and young people.
- Increase opportunities for children and young people with SEND to participate in meaningful sporting experiences.
- Reduce barriers to participation, including those relating to ability, confidence, accessibility and individual support needs.
- Promote physical health, emotional wellbeing, confidence, independence and social development through sport.
- Provide positive opportunities for young people to develop life skills, teamwork and leadership.
- Support schools, families and community organisations in creating inclusive sporting opportunities.
- Develop partnerships and seek grants, sponsorships, donations and other appropriate funding to expand community programmes.
- Reinvest available surpluses into the delivery, development and sustainability of our community-focused activities, in accordance with our governing documents and legal obligations.
Our intention is to create a sustainable community organisation where funding and partnerships help us reach more children, develop inclusive programmes and provide opportunities to those who may face additional barriers to participation.
OUR VISION
A world where every child and young person has the opportunity to participate, belong, achieve and thrive through sport.
We want to build communities where inclusion is part of everyday practice, differences are respected and every young person is encouraged to fulfil their potential.
OUR MISSION
To improve the lives of children and young people through inclusive sport, basketball, physical activity, mentoring and community development.
We aim to provide welcoming and supportive environments where young people can:
- Build confidence and self-esteem.
- Improve physical fitness and enjoy being active.
- Develop friendships and positive social connections.
- Learn new sporting and life skills.
- Improve communication, teamwork and independence.
- Develop resilience and leadership.
- Experience belonging, inclusion and achievement.
- Access opportunities that recognise their individual abilities and needs.
OUR SERVICES AND PROGRAMMES
CST Elite IMPACT aims to develop a range of inclusive sporting and community services for children and young people, schools, families and community partners.
1. Basketball Coaching and Development
Engaging basketball sessions designed to develop fundamental skills, coordination, teamwork, confidence and a love of sport.
Activities can cater for beginners and developing players, with an emphasis on enjoyment, participation, personal progress and positive coaching.
2. Adapted Basketball
Basketball opportunities designed to accommodate different abilities and support needs.
Activities can be adapted where appropriate to help children and young people participate in ways that are accessible, enjoyable and meaningful to them.
3. SEND-Inclusive Sport and Physical Activity
A key part of CST Elite IMPACT is our commitment to improving access to sport for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
We aim to provide inclusive sporting opportunities for young people who may experience barriers in mainstream sporting environments.
Our approach recognises that every child is different. We aim to consider individual strengths, communication preferences, sensory needs, confidence levels and support requirements when planning activities.
Our SEND-inclusive provision aims to promote:
- Access to sport and physical activity.
- Confidence, self-esteem and personal achievement.
- Social interaction and friendship building.
- Communication, cooperation and teamwork.
- Physical development and coordination.
- Independence and participation.
- A sense of belonging and being valued.
Our goal is to create positive sporting experiences where children and young people are encouraged to participate, progress and enjoy being part of a team.
4. Inclusive Programmes for Children with Additional Needs
We aim to develop programmes that recognise the different ways children learn, communicate, move and engage with activities.
Where appropriate and available, support may include adapted activities, smaller groups, additional instruction, adjusted session structure and consideration of sensory needs.
Provision will be planned in line with the needs of participants, the suitability of activities and the support available for each session.
5. Multi-Sport Programmes
Opportunities to explore different sports and physical activities, helping young people discover new interests, improve coordination, develop confidence and enjoy active participation.
6. Mentoring and Personal Development
Positive encouragement and guidance to help young people develop self-belief, resilience, communication skills, responsibility and positive relationships.
7. Confidence Building and Life Skills
Activities designed to help young people recognise their strengths, overcome challenges, develop independence and celebrate progress.
We believe success is not only about winning games. It is also about trying something new, making a friend, learning a skill and growing in confidence.
8. Leadership and Teamwork
Sport provides valuable opportunities to learn cooperation, communication, respect, decision-making and leadership.
We aim to encourage young people to take responsibility, support others and become positive contributors to their teams and communities.
9. School Programmes
We aim to work with schools and educational settings to develop sporting and physical activity opportunities that support participation, inclusion, teamwork, confidence and personal development.
Programmes can be discussed with individual schools to explore their pupils' needs, objectives and available resources.
10. Holiday Programmes
Structured sporting and physical activity opportunities during school holidays, giving children and young people the chance to remain active, develop skills, socialise and enjoy positive experiences outside the classroom.
11. Community Events and Activities
Community-focused events and programmes that use sport to bring people together, encourage participation and strengthen relationships between young people, families and local communities.
12. Family and Community Engagement
We recognise the importance of working constructively with families and community partners to understand the needs of young people and help them access suitable opportunities.
Our aim is to develop inclusive programmes that respond to local needs and encourage more children to participate in sport.
OUR COMMITMENT TO SEND AND INCLUSION
Inclusion is central to CST Elite IMPACT, not an add-on.
We recognise that some children and young people experience barriers to taking part in sport because of disability, additional learning needs, sensory differences, communication needs, confidence or a lack of suitable opportunities.
We aim to help address these barriers by developing inclusive programmes that focus on participation, dignity, individual strengths and positive experiences.
Our inclusive approach will seek to:
- Welcome children and young people with different abilities and support needs.
- Consider reasonable adjustments and suitable activity adaptations.
- Promote respectful, supportive and encouraging environments.
- Encourage positive interaction and friendship building.
- Recognise individual progress rather than comparing every participant against the same standard.
- Work with families, schools and relevant professionals where appropriate.
- Develop partnerships that help improve access to inclusive sport.
We aim to make sport a place where every child can feel valued, develop at their own pace and experience the benefits of being active.
WHO WE SUPPORT
CST Elite IMPACT aims to support:
- Children and young people of different ages and abilities.
- Children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

FUNDING, PARTNERSHIPS AND COMMUNITY INVESTMENT
To achieve our objectives and reach more children and young people, CST Elite IMPACT intends to pursue appropriate funding and partnership opportunities.
This may include applications to grant-making trusts and foundations, local authority funding programmes, community development funds, sport and physical activity initiatives, corporate sponsors, charitable funders where eligible, donations and other suitable sources of support.
Funding will help us explore opportunities to:
- Develop accessible basketball and inclusive sports programmes.
- Expand SEND-inclusive provision and adapted activities.
- Support children and young people who face barriers to participation.
- Provide equipment and suitable sporting resources.
- Develop school and holiday programmes.
- Train and develop coaches and programme staff.
- Build partnerships with schools and community organisations.
- Improve programme accessibility and reach underserved communities.
- Measure and demonstrate the positive impact of our work.
We aim to build a sustainable organisation that uses funding responsibly and directs available resources towards its community objectives.
CST Elite IMPACT will seek funding in line with the eligibility criteria of each funder. We recognise that CIC status does not automatically qualify an organisation for every grant, and we will develop our programmes, partnerships and evidence of impact to support appropriate applications.
## SAFEGUARDING AND RESPONSIBLE DELIVERY
The safety, dignity and wellbeing of children and young people are fundamental to our work.
We aim to develop appropriate safeguarding procedures, safe recruitment and suitability checks where required, risk assessments, accessible communication and clear processes for responding to concerns.
We will seek to ensure that activities are delivered by suitably qualified and appropriately supported personnel, with suitable arrangements for the needs of participants and the nature of each programme.
